What’s in my shower – August 2020

It’s Thursday!!

I always get so excited for the weekends, especially since moving to North Carolina because there is so much new to explore.

Today’s post is going to be all about what is in my shower. I know it might sound weird but…

I’m one of those nosey people that LOVES to know the little details of what beauty products people use in their daily routines.

My shower routine and the products I use usually change up with each season as my skin and hair needs change, but lately I’ve been sticking to some product staples in my shower.

All of these products I’ve used for months and some even for years so let’s hop on into the post and you can all see what’s in my shower!

Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Shampoo

I got this shampoo from Ulta in early 2020 when they were having the jumbo shampoo and conditioner sale.

This shampoo smells like tea tree and mint and makes your scalp tingle a little bit. It’s beyond refreshing! Plus…

Matt loves it too.

Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Conditioner

To go along with my shampoo I have the matching tea tree conditioner from Paul Mitchell.

I love the thickness of this conditioner and apply it to the bottom half of my hair. For more information on my haircare routine, check out this post

Scalp Massager Brush

When I have my shampoo in my hair I like to use a scalp massager tool to work the product into my hair. This helps with circulation to my scalp, exfoliation and to foam up the shampoo.

It also helps activate that tingling sensation the tea tree shampoo gives!

Sage and Cedarwood Body Wash:

The body wash I am currently using is from Bath and Body works, but I don’t think they sell it anymore.

I love the scent of this one, as it’s calming and fills the shower with the relaxing scent. I’ll link to a similar body wash and also some of my other favorite body wash products.

Clarisonic

I’ve used a clarisonic for years now and will say it has helped my skin texture and breakouts a ton.

I got away from using it a few months ago but started using it every night again in the shower to wash my face recently.

Sadly, Clarisonic is no longer selling the model I have and I believe is going out of business.

However, there are so many other facial cleansing devices on the market nowadays that I’ll be trying out a few different ones to find a new favorite.

The Inkey List Salicylic Acid Face Wash

I love to wash my face in the shower. I keep my nighttime face wash in the shower, which is a salicylic acid one from the Inkey List.

I put some on my clarisonic and wash away the day’s grime.

Botanic Tree Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser

I also keep my favorite facial exfoliating cleanser in my shower as I use it about 2-3 times a week at night.

I like this one from Amazon, which I also shared in my skincare routine post about.

Exfoliating Mitt

One of my favorite shower products is this exfoliating mitt from Amazon.

I originally bought this to help with exfoliating off my self tanner but now I use it on a regular basis in my shower routine.

I love that you can use it with just your normal body wash or in combination with a body scrub.

Joy Razor

I love love love this razor.

It’s one of the first razors I have found that I actually enjoy using. It has a nice grippy handle and a 5 blade razor head that moves along the curvature of your legs without causing nicks.

You can get a “starter” pack from Walmart that comes with the razor handle and two heads for $9!

Glee Shave Mousse

When I bought the razor I also picked up this shaving cream. Boy oh boy am I glad I did! It smells amazing and fluffs up into the perfect cream consistency for shaving.

Wet brush

Recently I have been keeping a mini wet brush in my shower to brush through my hair while the conditioner is in it.

This has helped prevent knots and dangles and excessive hair loss while showering.

Tree Hut Sugar Scrub

I’m currently out of the body exfoliator that I typically use but I figured I’d share with you guys anyways since it is normal one of my shower staples!

I like this sugar scrub because it is cheap but works well at removing dead skin while still keeping skin hydrated. The combo of this with the exfoliating mitt is a game changer.

That is all the products I keep in my shower! I hope you guys have the best weekend and spend it getting lots of sunshine.

Let me know what is in your shower — cause as you know, I am nosey haha.
